Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the Gunners need to make a decision to either focus on winning the Europa League or to prioritise the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger's men get their European campaign underway on Thursday when they host German outfit Cologne, and Cech has urged the club to make a decision early regarding their priorities.
“You make your decision,” he told London’s Evening Standard.
”At Chelsea, we were really disappointed to have been knocked out of the group stage (of the Champions League) but we decided that for the first time and the last time, hopefully, we play in the Europa League so we want to win...either you take it seriously and you go to win it and you give yourself the chance to do it or you give yourself different priorities and see how it goes.”
Arsenal missed out on the Champions League by finishing fifth in the English top flight last season, and Wenger has stated that he will look to rest key players in the Europa League.
