Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes insists his team's impressive lead at the top of the Bundesliga standings won't help them beat Bayer Leverkusen on Friday night.
Die Roten are unbeaten in their last 12 games across all competitions and have opened up a commanding 11-point lead over their rivals in the Bundesliga, but Heynckes has warned against complacency.
Leverkusen will host the league leaders at the BayArena on Friday and Heynckes believes Die Werkself will provide a tough challenge, considering they are unbeaten at home this season.
"They're a young, highly talented, hungry, quick team with plenty of imagination," Heynckes told the club's official website when asked about Leverkusen.
"It is a game with a lot of elements that make football attractive. It's an opening fixture that has the capability to be both thrilling and tough.
"We have to keep going and not look at the table because that doesn't win us points. Momentum stems from success."
