Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says every player, including the injured, will travel to Stockholm for the Europa League final against Ajax Amsterdam next week.
United have a long injury list, and have suffered as a result in recent weeks, with Mourinho having to think out of the box to plug the holes that have been left in his starting line-up.
But Mourinho described the spirit within the team as being “fantastic” due to the amount of time the players in the squad have spent together this season.
“Everybody goes,” Mourinho was quoted by FourFourTwo.
“We have a few crutches but everybody goes. Fantastic group of players, fantastic spirit since the beginning of the season, difficult run, lots of matches,” the manager said.
“We spent more time travelling, playing with hotels than at home because 60-something matches means 140 days in hotels.
“So, half of the year we spent together and that is only possible when the spirit is amazing.
“Crutches for [Luke] Shaw, [Ashley] Young, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic], but we all go together,” said the former Chelsea boss.
With qualification for the Champions League via a top four league finish no longer possible, the Europa League represents the club's last chance for a way into European club football’s most prestigious tournament.
